As we come towards the end of the year it is time to reflect on the past 12 months, on our successes and what we have learned, on what we have done and what might have been, and on new friendships and those we have lost. We can only affect the future. This time next year what are your reflections on 2013 going to be?
To make 2013 the year you want it to be – plan it out. Unless you plan, events, ‘life’ and other people will decide how you spend your time, not you. This is important for personal things like holidays – these really matter to Julia and I so we’ve planned out and booked our holidays for next year. But they are also important in business and financial planning.
This is why I have spent time working out in detail what I want The Accountancy People to be doing next year, what I want to be doing within the business, and how much money I want to earn so that we can start making it happen. Financial and business planning can seem tricky, so it is really helpful to have someone to bounce ideas off, whether it‘s a friend, family member or even us! At The Accountancy People we like to go the extra mile and work with you to discover your business goals, so that you can devise a plan to make sure that you achieve them. By thinking ahead about what you want to achieve and when, you will ensure that you accomplish what you want in the coming year. It’s your business, your future – so make sure you plan it out to make the most of 2013!
